Terry and the rest of the gang, Jira says thanks! She came home yesterday with gifts and flowers from all her co-workers! We both are very happy to start this next chapter in our lives! Now, back to the "Total Rebuild" thread! Rail!

Good Morning, Sunny today should make it to 50* but very little wind so we are tackling the VPM wiring today. here's a pic after pulling the dash out I'm pointing to where the ECM and the VPM are piggy backed. Lots of fun.

I guess that's better than lying on your back with your head underneath the dash, trying to hold a flashlight while dust fell in your eyes.

That's how we had to change the little light bulbs that lit up the dashboard at night back in the 60's and 70's. Or, if there was another way, I sure didn't know about it.

Terry,
Good luck on finding the problem, hopefully it is just a loose connector on one of the bales.

Good Afternoon, Frank, well I didn't find any "smoking gun" nothing that looked bad or loose power and grounds all good. I'll put it back together tomorrow after my DOT physical and see what happens, sometimes just unplugging and plugging back in "fixes" it. I also need to mount the boost gauge and the flash to pass switches.

Terry,
I hope that replugging will fix the problem, but I have my doubts(I am usually not that lucky).I hope that the weather now settles into spring temperatures so you can continue on your upgrades.

Frank, Nether am I but there's always hope . It seems the weather has finally decided to evolve into spring, I don't see anymore really cold coming for the next 10 days and that puts us closer to warmer temps anyway, (I hope). Off to see the DOT physical Doc. should be no problem.

Terry,
That is good news, I have mine when we go home sometime in August, hope it goes as good as yours, I have to remember not to drink my morning coffee because it puts my BP just above the DOT limit, and I have to sit there and wait for an hour or so for it to come down into range.
Frank

Frank, My BP is usually fine, today I had an 11:00 appointment so I always show early, sometimes it pays off and I get in and out..........not today, the receptionist tells me as I check in with all the crap that DOT wants that they had an emergency first thing and they only have one Dr. and they are two hrs. behind, now I don't ever get upset it is what it is, but I dislike setting in a waiting room and guess what, by the time I have my BP taken its THREE hrs. and its right on the border line, 140 over 90 yikes!! but we passed .

Just had my medical. Blood pressure is right on 119 over 71 but the Dr is concerned that my heart rate is 61. So off for more tests. Got to drink more coffee in the mornings!! LOL

Student Dr but thankfully small hands. LOL LOL

Terry,
Glad that you got your medical card. That's 1 more thing out of the way.
Gordon,
We wish you the best on your tests, hope that it is nothing serious and that the doc is just being cautious.
Frank

Thanks Frank. We refer to our Dr as a pit bull. She is thorough and really follows up on anything. Also a really "cool" lady. I feel fine so it is just precautionary.

Hoping for better weather for Terry. Am starting to have Tot'r withdrawal because of the lack of photos on the thread! Have to start thinking of a new project Terry so you can keep the thread going. We count on seeing your progress!!
