The thought of a show starring Terry has been discussed. Just need a key sponsor.

Evening,
Rail, I'm having the same problem, Alternator, it started in Iowa on the way home last month. Squeals like porky pig. I'm glad it happened on the way home and not on the way last fall.
I also came home with 2-3 leaks (Same area) I have a faint hunch where they are too.
My brother sold his last pup today 11 out of 12 and they are keeping the 12th. The mother is 12th out of a litter of 12.
He's really having a rough time finding someone to do the clean up from the barn fire last fall, a pretty big pile of ruble. I told him it's too big of a job for us to tackle. What a mess.
Got the yard cleaned up and fertilized. Tulips and daffodil's are up Hostas and the roses are going to town. Strawberries coming soon. Going to try and start the tiller for the garden tomorrow. Then we can plant and I'm not going over board this year.
Boy what they say about AZ weather and arthritis must be true because I have been pretty stiff and sore since we got home. I don't think October will get here fast enough.
Going to be in the upper 70ties to 80 by the end of the week.

Those on the road be safe,
Tim

Hey Tim;
Sounds like your garden is going great. We have been eating parsnips from the garden and the asparagus is going crazy. Picked 5 lbs tonight. Looks like tomorrows haul will be bigger.

We are having to water as we have not had any moisture to speak of since we got home. Not much before we got home either.

Say hi to Joe for us. See you in October.

Good Morning, Thanks guys! Gordon, The footstool was made by my father many years ago for my kids to get to the sink when they where little, it works perfect for Eleanor to get into the top cabinets. Blum, Thanks, I started the videos just to show what I have done, hopefully it will show what anyone can do. Tim, no one here is even thinking about gardens yet, the trees are just starting to bud. Still raining here, might have one day (Saturday) with none. Gordon, just going to throw the meet up location as possibly 1500 miles from each coast, (thinking 3000 miles across) need to figure how many miles top to bottom yet . Am I thinking in the right direction? Okay I just checked Lebanon, Kansas is the center, so as I said throwing this out there how about Lebanon, Kansas?

Try googling "Lebanon, Kansas"

"Lebanon is a city in Smith County, Kansas, United States, in the north central part of the state. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 218." Wikipedia

2013 population is listed as: 206.

It is also known as the geographical center of the contiguous US.

The real challenge might be to find an RV park or camping nearby.

Glen Elder State Park is nearby. 700 miles from where my MH parks an hour west of Waco, Texas.

I am in.

DieselTech39, thanks for the tip, thought of that, and already did that halfway! Got the one loose on the frame, cleaned it, but the one on the motor is to tight for me to get with a 3/8ths. Will have to wait till I get to my son's and get a breaker bar!!

Terry,
That sounds good, now we need to set a time frame so plans can be setup. we will need to make sure that there are enough campsites close by. It looks like within 75 miles of Lebanon is a few other campgrounds, only the state park mentioned is close.
Rail,
The ground may be part of the problem, but I believe that there is more going on than that, I think you need to check the voltage coming from the alternator to the batteries.
Tim,
Is it the belt squealing, or the alternator itself, check out the air pump, they have a habit of locking up, you either have to eliminate the pump, plug the lines and put a smaller fan belt on, or replace the pump. You definitely have to find out what is squealing though.
Frank

Hi Ron, I just checked that out looks nice, if they have room for big rigs it might be a keeper. We have lots of time to figure and get everyone's opinion. Frank, I agree on the squealing, those pumps always where problematic at best. In the next few months we'll have to find out others (how many) and times when the majority can make it, at this late date it will have to be next summer for sure.

Thanks for the options,
I'm pretty sure it's the alternator. As soon as I turn on my exterior lights i.e.; parking lights, head lights it squeals and as soon as I shut them off it stops. Plus the charging system gauge reads only 1/2 way instead of @ 3/4 charge.
I'm going to tear into it this afternoon. I will replace the belts while I'm at it, not sure how old they are.
Thanks again and count us in on the get together in Kansas.
Tim
WOW, Glen Elder State Park really looks nice and a good size lake.

Tim, it sounds like you might have a glazed belt or if that has an auto belt tightener it might be seized up and not keeping the belts tight. The park and lake look nice not bad prices ether.
