Terry, we pulled the alternator yesterday, and two wires broke off, one was off when we flipped it, one broke off shortly after! They were the small wires, not the power or ground. So we are taking it to the rebuilder this morning to have it tested for peace of mind. And if it checks out ok, back on Mona! Also got all the basement doors tightened up and sealed, and the anti-wasp screen's installed on the furnace vent! So been busy, and Mona is shaping up nicely!
Hope the weather is better for you! Rail!

Rail,
I hope that it is only the wire that is bad, and that explains why it was sudden.

Well, back from the rebuilders shop, and the alternator tested high output, so he is going to go through it, and get it right! Said mostly all he sees have very low or none! He had a very good machine he put it on and and he tested it in real load conditions! Should be done Monday or Tuesday! Been very nice here weather wise, but looks like it could rain again any time! Rail!

Good Afternoon, Rail, good to see that the alternator is going to be taken care of, it's peace of mind for sure . sounds like Mona is getting the attention she needs. Today is the first day it hasn't rained , got the lawns mowed and am getting ready to work on the rear body, hopefully can paint it next week.

Hello All,

There is a new guy name (sheepdog7071) on here with a 1973 Holiday Rambler (I think he said) and he needs some help. I told him to start a thread here and to look for your names. He sounds a bit overwhelmed. I figured you can help him.

Weather is decent today, supposed to rain all week, but it isn't snowing so I am happy. Man, I am ready to get my rig back. Almost 2 weeks again. Talk with you later, Lynne

Good Afternoon, Been very busy, lots of things to do.........had to run a new electrical service to my sons house, and a couple of days the wind would blow you away. Getting ready to finish the rear body, right now I am making sure everything is super straight so when I paint there is no waves, (I hate waves) finished the compartment on the right side and coated it with bed liner. installed a small lip on the wheel well. busy, busy, busy

Well, after typing out a nice post, Irv2 said I did not have permission, so bang, post gone!
Try again, Terry, glad your getting things done! Tot'r looking good!
I just got off the roof yesterday and it started raining! Just got back home today, and a nasty storm just got here, got soaked sliding the awning down, and now it has stopped for the most part! Well, Mona's roof has stood up to all the rain, and not a leak to be found! While I was up there the other day, all looked great! Well better get busy! Everyone have a great day!
Rail!

Terry, got the alternator back on, all good, no more unhappy converter! The gauge is right in the middle, where it's supposed to be! Frank, the alternator charge light is still on? Think I need to unplug the wire I plugged in that was laying loose in the engine compartment? I will try that tomorrow! Rail!

Good Morning, Rail, good to hear Mona's roof is in good shape, that's a very important piece . Nice the alternator is back in and working . I have always disliked those "idiot" lights, give me real gauges. Popeye, getting this ready for paint has been a challenge, I sold my first shop because I couldn't use a DA and all the other air tools all day long because my hands couldn't take it, this morning I am reminded, I can barely type right now, waiting for the meds to take hold so I can get going, one more day of great weather and it's turning rainy and cold again for a few days .

Looking GREAT Terry, will look even better once you get the first coat of primer on her. I feel for you on the using the vibrating tools, I understand fully.
Rail,
I don't understand that Alt light, but if you can remember which wire that I plugged in, it would be a good thing to get that light turned off. Hope that you had a wonderful trip and we are super happy that you found Mona.
Have a great day all,
Frank
