Terry,
If it wasn't for the green grass, that looks like a mid winter pic. YUCK!!!!!!
Picker,
Hope that it warms up soon for you.

Good Morning, Piker, This weather is just crazy, after working most of the winter outside on the Tot'r I don't want to ether . Frank, it feels like winter here this morning it was 30* and is still only 37* now and the wind is blowing steady 20mph and gusting up to 35 or so, so it feels even colder . BUT they say it's going to warm and not rain this week, if so I might get the rear body painted finally

Terry - good luck on getting out and getting some painting done. We might get some rain by Thursday.

Listening to the news this morning. They say we are heading towards having the hottest year in recorded history this year. Records only go back a little over a 100 years so tough to determine a trend.

Another town is being evacuated in front of a rapidly growing forest fire. Fox Creek is being threatened. Hope the fire fighters get the help they need (rain) to prevent another disaster.

It has been cold here for a few nights as well. Have had quite a number of asparagus get frost bitten.

Now would be the time to install that large wood burning stove in the corner of the den and sit with a nice warm fire while planning Tot'r next steps.

Have a great day.

Good Afternoon, Well I'm in the process of building a spray booth to put the Tot'r in, at least most of it . I've already widened it to 16 ft. and now will extend the legs so the Tot'r will fit in, since I will be painting in sections it will work out. I need to strengthen it all the way around, install the ventilation system and put a large tarp over, but it should work, I've actually worked inside a similar setup that was set up inside of a building.

That should make it stop raining for sure.

What are you doing for light? You said cover with a tarp, is that just covering the top and leaving the sides open for light, maybe putting clear plastic on the sides?

Hi Ron, some of the tarps that I have are brite white, hopefully that one will be big enough to go on top, if need be I'll supplement with some lighting that I used to use in my other paint booths. Plus I'll be painting in the daytime so it should be okay, (fingers crossed) Putting clear on the sides would be a great option also

That looks like it will be a pretty nice paint booth.

Terry - great to see the weather cooperating so you can get back to work. I was starting to get Tot'r withdrawal again but the picture of the paint booth has given me a "fix'. Hope it comes together quickly and works as planned.

Will be great to see before and after photographs of Tot'r.

Good Afternoon, missed a couple of days here, had an infusion yesterday and it kinda wipes me out. But we're back at it today, got the spray booth ready, (at least for the rear) we will raise it so the whole body will fit for the next go around. Plus I need to move it to a semi permanent, (not in the middle of my lawn) location. I actually have several vehicles to paint this year so the need arose to build a spray booth. Anyone following this thread for any time will remember the big blue tarp, well here it is again. I also added lights on the inside to eliminate the blue light when I spray. I have several coats to spray first is epoxy primer, then one or two coats of light gray sanding primer, probley three coats of color then two to three coats of clear. I am going old school with enamel paint, (it's how I also did the front bumper). It will take at least 7 to 9 days to complete but when it's done it will be very durable.
