Gordon,

There are "reds" then there are "REDS"!

What color red is on that very pretty bike?

From the photo on my computer monitor it looks like it is a cranberry red.

Terry, the Tot'r is shaping up nicely! Won't be long and you will be starting on the inside! And you know, with all the grief about Honda Red, you could paint the inside of the compartment doors red? White with red interior has always been one of my fav's! Rail!

Always with the new ideas, lol. Tot'r body looks Great Terry, I've always been partial to Red also. but there is something to be said about a subtle blue tint.

My BIL rebuilds driveshafts and machine work for a living he always paints the rebuilt driveshafts blue...you could give them their red by painting your driveshaft red...lol...you have to give the viewers what they want to keep them coming back....lol

But seriously Terry it looks great things are coming together nicely

Honda calls it black cherry. It is the Canadian version which does not seem quite as dark as the US version IMO.

Nice. Looks to me the colors are very similar. Probably the same color just called different.

Great photograph. Taken on the Dragon?

Good Evening, Nice bikes guys!! We brought one of my old bikes out of storage today, 79 Ironhead that I restored and upgraded years ago, started up great checked it out and my son took it to get inspected, (I rode mine along) got it inspected and 8 miles from home the battery crapped out , so I went home and got the truck and trailer and towed it home. good part is it's just the battery.

Hi all!

Hi Gordon, yes, that pic was the dragon. Don't much care for that place,,,, but it is great if you want your picture took,,,,,, by a professional.

Forgot about inspections Terry, the year we moved here to S.C., just a few months later SC did away with vehicle inspections. I was amazed but that was in 93. I can't think of a single accident I have heard about due to a unsafe vehicle to date. With a motorhome, the jeep, my focus for commuting to work, my old pickup, and 9 motorcycles I would be forever at the inspection station! As I look back now it seems like a silly process.

Sorry your battery died Terry. Read a article recently about the new batteries,,, epa influence (lead) and new designs that have created a new failure they called "Sudden Death". I have had a few do that. Literally within a few mins they go from functional, to dead short, done. Can't even jump the vehicle as the battery just acts as a sink. I have had 3 of those experiences,,, one in Deb's car on a 3 year old battery. 2 on my bikes. On Debs car she went 3 miles to the grocery store, came out 10 mins latter and done. Tried and tried to jump it, no go. Had to go buy a battery and replace it in the store lot.

Have a great day all!

L.

Good Morning, Lloyd, yes when we had the auto shop we actually had a couple of batteries in customers cars that died after bringing them in the bay, that's tough explaining to a person that their bat died conveniently inside my shop , I had an explanation that we downloaded from a battery manufacturer posted in the waiting room. We are still waiting for the paint to fully cure, (min of 7 days) so we can clear coat, kinda excited because we painted a test piece so we can test out a "ghost" pearl pigment when we spray the clear. When we get done spraying the rear body we will add the pigment to the remaining clear and spray the test piece, that's the first step in determining how we paint the flames ect on the nose. The weather here has been great, from today thru the next 7 it's supposed to be in the 80's close to 90*

Glad that you had someone with you Terry, so you didn't get stuck out there.
Lloyd,
I hadn't heard of that, but it makes sense looking back a some of the battery failures that I have witnessed recently.
