Terry,
Looks like you have the door well under control. Are you going to paint the aluminum or leave it bright?

Good Morning, Frank, I'm leaving the aluminum brite, I have always liked the look that some custom sleepers have when they do that. Need to go pick up the aluminum diamond plate that I need for the side trim on the Tot'r coach.

Terry,
I agree, the bright aluminum will look great on the back of the Tot'r box.

Looks great, Terry! How thick is the alum.? Just wondering? Most of the custom sleepers with the "shiny-hiney" are stainless! You will get the same look with alum. but have to hire Bap to polish it once a year!
I replaced the swing doors and skins on my 53' Trailmobile semi trailer from the stainless factory ones with stainless replacements. I got the same wood core and inner liner, but the stainless was not as thick as the old ones, and did not have the same quality/mirror finish! You can't get the same as it was when new in 2001! Just say'n! Rail!

Good Morning, Popeye Thanks! Rail, I'm using .032 for the aluminum it's backed with plywood so it should be good. I thought about using stainless for the reasons you stated, but I figured I could polish it, (give me something to do ) Today I start on the repair on the rear cap so I can paint then install the siding............Shiny-Hiney, Like it .

As a newbie (as in today) I am furiously reading this thread and up to page 50. Has been like reading a book and seems like I know some of you personally by now. Need to get away for awhile and finish doing some things on our TT for a trip to mountains and some fishing...
