Terry,
That pearl is really going to set that truck off. Nice coverage on the video also.

We only had one a/c in our 43' 5er. 10' was garage but the trailer was not difficult to keep cool. We had the extra insulation package. Our first a/c packed it in because we did not use it enough.

Good Morning, Ashton, Thanks, good luck on the AC install. Frank, I think so, I like doing something different, (like you guys don't know that, LOL) Gordon, we only have one AC unit and it cools very well. We are painting the PU box and left door today, (with the base color). Here's another video, .

Terry,
Another great video! You never know what you are going to run into on the rust repair.

Great video Terry. With that much rust showing under bed, do you think you should remove cab to inspect/repair that section of frame?

Thanks All, Frank, I know, up here it's not how long the engine ect will run it's how long will the frame ect last, . Ron, the way these trucks are I can get to almost every place under the cab section, (it will not be a pleasant job) if this was a vehicle that was really worth something yup I would strip it down to bare frame and really give it a going over, the really strange part is most of the rust on all these Chevy's is in the rear, on the older ones it was right behind the front wheels, in my experience I don't see that as much. Well painted the box and left door with the base color.

Base color looks good. Soon your truck will be one color.

Good Morning, Thanks Ron, Yup good or bad it'll at least be one color and hopefully usable for a couple more years. Here is another video working on the frame.

Bed looks great, Terry, Its hard to get a good enough base so it doesn't show when painted black. And again, another GREAT video.

Hi Frank, Thanks, with as much damage, (from rust) black is not the color to choose, I knew that going in but picked it anyway, it's not perfect it shows every imperfection but it's clean no rust (at least that you can see) and the truck will be one color. I always like to experiment and this is no exception by using the "cheap" tractor supply paint and clearing it with pearl it's certainly different. (and it'll prove that it can be done) working on the cab today.

Hi Gordon, Not really sure, ordered a crossmember from Texas and still need to repair or replace the other one, the cab still needs to be done, right door and the third door repaired. It doesn't help that It takes me so long to be able to move in the morning, my RA just doesn't like what I'm doing and it's kinda telling me. Not complaining, Dr's tell me I'm lucky just to be able to move .

Hi Terry; Probably not a fair question. It always seems that projects will take on a life of their own. Find one thing and fix it, the part beside will look bad so fix that as well, then the next thing. And then there are self imposed deadlines, with breaks for bad weather, collecting parts, etc.

Hope through this all you are able to take a bit of time off and go camping/riding for a few days. I know you have to keep moving to prevent seizing up completely so it is a balancing act.

Janet decided that she likes the trees we were going to cut down so they have a reprieve from the chainsaw and I have to find something to fill the couple weeks I was going to take to cut them down. Been talking about building a sidewalk along the side of the house with paving stones to that might get back on the list??? Going to take the day and think about it.

Gordon, Yup, I have kinda throwed time lines out the window, . I just wish summer was longer, so much to do so little time. Eleanor has been real busy at work, they are down two people so extra work falls on to the boss, (Eleanor) so not sure if vacation times are possible or not, same with riding just haven't had the opportunity this year. . Now with a couple of weeks with nothing to do, hmmmmm oh well a sidewalk would be nice.
