Good Morning, Tim, as others have said too much hardener, the temperature has alot to do with it also, the warmer the temps the less hardener you use. For a small coffee cup size glob I run a 1 inch line and mix and lay it on, but don't take your time it will harden quick. Rail, yup I just did the normal, lights tires general walk around and book, guess I should be more diligent next time LOL. Tot'r runs good, I think I need to replace the clutch fan, it still gets a little warmer running up hills or long grades then I like and I don't hear it kick in. Frank, this guy normally takes good care of his equipment, but his son has been using it to run Hot Shot Loads lately along with some other trailers he has, I've had to maintain the others so I guess I need to add it to the list. Jeff, yup no end to the fun sometimes, It sure could have been no good ending that's for sure. we had been running 60/65 mph just before . Thanks all for the kudos on the wheels.

I got free wifi last night and watched some vids......you should do that stuff for a living.....oh yeah ,you're "trying to quit" !
Guess that will be harder than Tim quitting cigs!!!

Tim
Yup too much hardener , another thing that will affect the cure rate is temperature , hot will make it faster and cool will make it slower.

Small batches are the way I always go , easier to judge the hardener amount and less waste (especially when it goes too fast).Plus you can take your time getting it smooth=less sanding.......
1"=about a golf ball of goop

Good Evening, Popeye, Thanks, yup I'm kinda steering away from doing this as a job, I like this stuff . We used to go up to the Thousand Islands, Alexandria Bay to be exact and every year they have a Pirate invasion of the town, complete with cannons and the whole town is consumed with pirates. here's a link Bill Johnston's Pirate Days | Schedule of Events | Alexandria Bay Chamber of Commerce - Alexandria Bay, NY

Every May, in Fernandina Beach, FL (NE Florida) we have our annual ShrimpFest celebrating the shrimping industry. It is a big tourist attraction that lasts for three days. It starts with a parade on the Thursday evening before and ends on Sunday. It is complete with artists booths, food concessions, lots of crowds, and, of course, the city is "invaded" by a pirate ship as a major event. Folks in Pirate attire can be seen, and heard, wandering the streets. Usually they stay close to the river. Maybe so they can make a quick get-a-way? There is also a trolley tour that visits an older part of the city where pirates' homes and the local cemetery are part of the tour. Of course, no pirates that we know of still live there, so the view is just from the trolley. Besides, how many folks dare risk entering the home of a pirate?

To Harly 1994

I was so disapointed that you are taking on another trailer fix it project instead of doing the body work on our truck. Just kidding!! I just have to look at my calendar and see when we can give uop the truck for a week. We just had all the ball joints replaced as well as the fuel filter(oem Ford). Then had alignment and NYS insp. DH will change the oil. All in all about $800.00 After the body shop it goes into Crown Rustproofing. It takes care of us so we take care of it!!
