I agree with Frank. I have been taking some placebo threads but it is only providing temporary relief. Good to get back on the full meal deal thread.

Popeye,
I think all of us here have a little of that in us. Why else would we migrate to each other here and over on the Gooodmorning thread?

Good Afternoon, well spent most of the day over to my buddy's place where the donor 5th wheel is that I'm getting parts for the Tot'r from, got the AC unit ready to take down, will do that tomorrow morning when the helpers are around. Started the disassembly on the interior ceiling and walls to remove the wiring and duct work for the AC, yup this AC is duct in the ceiling style, , little overkill for such a small area but who knows maybe I can rent it out as a freezer, . Also got one of the vents for the ceiling too.

Weather report

Harley1994, If you can believe the weather man thursday through sunday is predicted to be sunshine in the 70s. Then the following week is going to start in the 80*. Time for some outdoor projects besides weed wacking and mowing.

Good Morning, Sam, I want your predictions mine this morning was rain this afternoon and all next week except Thursday then rain to finish out the seven day, yuck. Well went with my son and grabbed the AC unit off the 5th wheel donors roof, now I can clean it up and get it ready to install on the Tot'r. I will need to make a rafter style ceiling so I can put in the ducts for the AC, so will have more room for more insulation,

Terry,
Is the donor AC already designed for ducts?

My real question is: could one take an AC unit that is NOT designed for ducts, then modify it somehow, along with modifying the ceiling, to adapt it to use ducts? Or, is does it make more sense to find an AC unit already set up for ducts?

The reason for the question is, I may be looking at an older Class A DP that has two non-ducted AC units. I have been inside this rig during a medium rain, and it is noisy. I don't want to be in it during a hard rain. It also has two AC units that are non-ducted. So, if I did a major rebuild, including replacing the overhead, adding proper insulation and ductwork, could I use the two existing AC units?

If this makes sense, it might be something to consider while trying to keep it in a realistic budget. If not, I may just keep looking. But a 1994 Gulf Stream Sun Voyager 32 foot DP for under 10K sounds interesting. It was listed at the same local dealer a few months ago for 14K. So, a) either something is really wrong with it, b) everyone wants slides (this has none), or c) the right buyer just has not found it yet.

Again, thanks for letting us follow along with your projects. I enjoy learning, and am finding practical use for some of the info as we go along.
