Good Morning All, Rail, Thats going to be quite a trip, we like the Thousand Islands, lots to do up there. but we are be open to others as well, you have given us alot of area to pick from. I am working now on the garage area to get that area done for now, (walls and ceiling) then later I will be adding cabinets, E Track for the bike hold downs ect. Last I heard from Bap is he was back from vac. and he was tired, hopefully all is well, no way to find out.

NYC, we have rode our motorcycles thru and stayed around the Thousand Islands and aways like to go back, very nice area. Well, working in the garage area, insulating, here's a couple of pics. I put thicker insulation down the middle, then .5" thinner on the sides, this is due to the roof taper.

Hi Ron, the insulation is called Poly Iso (Polyisocyanurate) hard board it has an R value of 9, which is so much better than fiberglass, this will have no air leaks and adds to the structure. when it is in, I will take an industrial foam gun and fill any cracks there may be. They are starting to use this in some RV's as they have found that its so much better.

It will be nice and warm/cool when you are done. Are you putting in vapor barrier? We did a bus with sprayed foam and still put in vapor barrier. Overkill but cheap? Not sure if it is needed but IMO will not hurt.

Thousand Islands will be too far east for us this year. Mid west may be doable but depends upon the schedule for hip replacement.

Ok, I got the insulation installed in the garage area, still need to do the foaming. The insulation that I have has its own vapor barrier, (as long as I close up the gaps) Gordon, how far west? if we get an idea how far everyone can go, maybe we can get a start to get an idea of the geographical area we can meet up to. Of course this is depending on alot of variables to many to mention .

Hi, Tim, you know I've never been to Minn. I don't really know anything about that state. I guess that's a state you don't hear anything about, not that that's a bad thing. I'll have to have DW ck it out (she does all the research on our trips, finds neat places to go and see.

Well, everyone has a favorite spot and needs to shout it out! We need somewhere that is central to everyone? Somewhere in the middle of the country? That is not to cold in the spring time! Our trip is still in the planning stage, and right now is a rough draft. The one thing for sure is we will start our journey from Phoenix, as that is where the MH is! The one thing that is good about owning the MH is, changing things is so easy! Just turn the other way? First we have to see how many people are going to go to this little get-together! If we have to reserve a CG? And we do not want to hijack Terrys thread either! Just saying The rest of you old timers will have advise! So I am going to sit back and! Rail!

There is a 300 site RV park about two miles from me. Bike week anyone? 80 miles from Daytona Beach.

Good Morning, Frank, Eleanor says Thank You!, I agree too, (of course I have to right?). Rail, I agree we need to find somewhere warm! and central, that might be the toughest part! as I think everyone is pretty spread out. HH, Bike week is an animal all by itself . Today I'm foaming the gaps and getting ready to start putting up the walls, in the garage area.

Gooseberry Falls, For kicks I just Yahoo search it and there are several write ups there. I will say its just beautiful There are a few spots that you can walk boulder to boulder thru the falls. Then head up to Grand Marray (sp) and the Gun Flint Trail. You won't be disappointed.
