Hey Terry that tot'r is pretty cool, glad to hear it's serving you well!

I bet the festival was a sight to see for sure. When I was a kid a balloon landed in the pasture on our farm on two different occasions. That was pretty neat. Didn't get to ride, but did talk to them on the CB once.

That's a bucket list thing, gotta take a ride someday.

Take care,
W.D.

Good morning, Tim, WD, thanks! I need to down load some of my pics from the phone, I'll post some later. WD, whats so cool about the festival is you get to be in the field with the balloons as they get blown up, Katrina my GD got to help lay out some of the balloons so that's pretty cool too! then they all start to heat up with the propane blasters in the baskets and take off right next to you, really neat. On two occasions we had balloons come within a couple of feet of the Tot'r coulda shook hands with the pilot, , we did talk with one as he floated by.

Flatnose Frank - Total Rebuild on this "72 RevCon 250

If this it the thread for "total rebuilds", then I've got one...

I am hoping to be done in December (2017) with this project - total renovation.

Photo journaling in Flickr (until I can find time to blog a bit on the experience)

So looking forward to hitting the road in this beast.

Got to jump on the bandwagon with the rest. Takes a lot of vision, patience and fortitude to undertake the renovation of any vehicle in this condition. Hats off to you and your crew.

Hoping you will continue posting progress. Looking forward to seeing the end result. We winter in Yuma each year so it may be possible you will be coming our way once you have it on the road.

Great thread

Hi Harley1994,
I stumbled across this thread the other day. Since then I started reading from the first post. Incredible, first I admire the way that you treat your fellow posters, you never denigrate their questions or get defensive at their suggestions--I'm amazed at how often I've found people that do get defensive. Second, I am amazed at how fast you progress--I'm at the point where you are putting the axles on the TH. Third, its funny for me to see comments where people are amazed about 30 pages of comments and now you are above 500!!! Thanks.

Good Afternoon, BNelson, Thanks! It has been fun to say the least! I started the TH not really ever putting anything "out there" before so didn't know what to expect, also I never had built an RV before ether! . I have built and worked on many of the separate systems, just not all at once! What I have found here is alot of suggestions from others that had way more experience living and camping or just using their RV's than I had, some of the ideas I suspect are things that others would want or change in their own RVs, I used many of them. But what I really have gained from this is many life long friends, we recently had our first Meet and Greet in Kentucky and when we all got together it was like we had known each other for years, quite the experience, . We are planning for other M&G also next year. Stop over to the Good Morning thread, we all hang out there as well.

Hi Terry,

Haven't visited the thread much lately but looks like you are picking up another project.
Will watch with interest as usual.

BJohnsonsv / You've got yourself quite a project there but love it when people rebuild these older coaches. Have you bought any "donor" coaches for the cupboards, air conditioners, or appliances? Terry did that and saved himself the cost of buying new.

BNELSON, At the recent M&G Terry said that he knows all the areas where someone helped him with an idea while rebuilding the TH. These guys have often talked above my skill level but it has still been very interesting to me.

Like Terry said, come on over to the "Good Morning" thread and the "Good Morning Meet & Greet" thread where we all hang out.

Lynne

Lynne
Thanks. We're going all new appliances and custom-built for everything. We tell ourselves it will still be cheaper than buying a new coach. Anyway, I prefer to create my own new problems rather than inherit someone else's old ones!

Making good headway now - cabinets are almost done! https://flic.kr/p/YKq4af
