Busy day yesterday cleaning off roofs of 2 ft. of snow in case we get another Nor'easter this week, right now they are saying it MAY miss us, fingers crossed for sure. Temps are staying cold though. Eleanor, started cleaning the MH in prep of tearing into it, good cleaning first then we can get into remodeling, going today for supplies and checking out materials, will be a long one, (I know Eleanor) .

Good idea, using a macerator to pump from a remote bath to the tank.

I see some coaches come with them as the primary means of dumping. I simply have not had any ocaisions when I need one to dump. And remembering when it wasn't working I couldn't dump left a bad memory,,,,,,, as no toilet left the Mrs. unhappy. :-)

I guess if one could be plumbed to be optional???

Good Morning, Heat wave today, 12* this morning! But they claim 30* today. Lloyd, I don't think I would want one of these as my primary means to dump my tanks, , as a back up to dump where you might not be able to hook up normally, maybe. veraken, that looks like a neat project, only downside I could see is maybe big and heavy to carry. I have a portable Flojet pump that came with the MH (yet to be tested) so not sure if it works, looks like it hasn't been used much so we will see. I have a dump station here at home but my problem that I have is I can't always get to it, it's across my lawn and if the lawn is soft I can't drive to it, but my house tank with a 50 ft hose could be accessed from the driveway. Just an idea since I already have the pump.

I have heard of people having a macerator to pump to a up hill dump point or even heard of one guy who pumped to his toilet in the house. I have also heard they are a little delicate and prone to jamming and braking the vanes on the pump. If I had one I would consider it for "special" occasion's. Did I mention slow to use to. But could be a useful tool in the right situation. I will stick to my standard gravity dump.

We have the Tecma macerating toilets. So far I really like them. No problems with the toilets and the tank is really easy to maintain. Probes have not given any issues.

In the 5er the probes worked for about the first month.

Hi Gordon, those sound like a good thing, the monitors are not working in the MH ether so another thing on the list, they don't even light up so maybe a power issue
