Good Afternoon, Had a severe storm go thru, no damage . CW, here is a few pics, . Gordon, we were hoping that after pulling the floor that they had installed we could just sand and refinish, but they pretty much destroyed it with nails and screws, the worst part is we don't know why they did it, , There was very slight spots of something but nothing that couldn't have been refinished. So we took it all the way to the original subfloor, the black on the floor is the adhesive for the hardwood floor, and the white on the walls is wallpaper sizing that we haven't got off yet. Resealed another window. The refrigerator vent cap had a hole in the side under the top cap....so I figured I would replace it because I just don't want anything cracked or broke..........that's kinda what got us to this point, , we see something not quite right aaaannnd it leads us astray. Well after taking the vent off the roof the pic of straw is what I removed from inside the refer vent area, , I had checked this area before and there was nothing, birds had filled it for a nest in just a couple of weeks, had we started the refrigerator it probley would have caught on fire.

Good catch on the bird nest. Does not take them long when they get the notion. Guess they are somewhat like some of us who get going on things when we get the notion.

I am really looking forward to seeing the refinished and upgraded coach in August. Another labor of love for Eleanor and yourself.

How are you holding up? Hope the aches and pains are slight.

Hi Gordon, We are looking forward to the M&G also, my aches and pains.......the more I do the worst I feel, but unfortunately that's my life for the last 30+ years, it is worse as I get older, as in everyone I guess, it takes me longer to do stuff, take more breaks ect. Pain management is a challenge, joint damage doesn't go away, so you adapt and keep going. I have a complete gym here at home, (bought a little at a time as I needed rehab) and every morning I hit it as much as I can, some things are certainly better for it. No more numbness,

The OSB would be fine lookin' iff'n yuz threw a few coats of urethane on 'er.

Just kiddin' but I always used to do one coat just for a little insurance in case of a spill .

Hey , I just got back from picking up 6 used 16" dually rims ! Two different salvage yards.

One's almost new .
Four are in decent shape .
One's a little roached on the dimple end but I think a session with a grinder disc will do away with the rust.
Only found a couple of small dents in the bead area and will borrow my old 3# from the guy I gave it to for a few whacks.

I know , you'd blast and powdercoat but pink stuff , some red pad and probably Krylon is more my speed (and shop capabilities).

So this time will cost me for 8 tires instead of 6 but the impossible 8R16.5 with fresh DOT#s hunt is off the list.
225/75R16 is new size , might even be on sale when I finish savin' fer 'em ! Gonna look for LR-F and all steel belts !

Looking good Terry!

Side bar: Gordon you reminded me.......watch out for birds making nests in the air intake on our model coaches. Last year I found a doozy. This year I blocked the opening while the coach sits.

Good catch, on the birds nest, Terry! Gives me one more place to check! The air intake for the motor on our coaches is in the back, at the top, no way a bird could get in there, for sure! You can see it under the lip in the middle, the camera is mounted there too! Rail! Click image for larger version

You guy's intake is in the best place really. Newmars are that way too.

Me and Gordon's is at the back driver side bay door. Birds get in the slots there and right inside the intake shroud.

I'd like to fabricate a screen there, but I'm afraid of restricting airflow.

I would fab one out of hardware cloth, that wont restrict any air flow, it is surely big enough, a metal screen would work too! All of the semi's that i have been around all have screens, too keep bugs, and all kinds of things out of the intake! Mona has a screen behind the slots too! Rail!

Good Morning, Popeye, I've seen osb finished that way looks good! (Eleanor wouldn't go for it!) Nice getting 16" rims wish I was closer I'd help getting them ready, check out SimpleTire. Com that's where I got my tires from, my tire supplier that I have always done business with couldn't match their price, and free shipping too! Rail, my intake is on the side, has a grill so they can't get in.

Thx for offering Terry.
Those prices are pretty good!

I checked out intake just to see and it is clear as well. Would be easy enough to put a screen on. The screened area (if one were to screen it) is very much larger than the tube it goes into so any additional restriction would be low.

Good Afternoon, Rain all day today, , sooo we went parts shopping, . The flooring Eleanor picked out after checking didn't have very good reviews, so we ended up at Lumber Liquidators, and picked out flooring there, had to order and it'll be here in a week. That's okay it will give Eleanor time to do the wallpaper, . The engine intake on mine is on the side inside the door pictured, the air cleaner is there also.
