I don’t know how you were able to enjoy the Meet and Great Terry. You must have been vibrating off of your chair. You certainly are not one to sit still.
Looking forward to seeing this project progress.

Wow, you didn't wait to get started!!!!

If you want me to text or email the pics so you can enlarge via better pics let me know.

Gordon, previous owner carried a full size Harley back there on one of those bike lifts. Thinking that added to the stress and helped cause the problem.

Hi Steve! LOL, I got my "fix" by helping the others with some projects! (and planning) Lloyd, the great northeast weather is not on my side! I need to getter done! Interesting how Monaco suspended the body, really hard to get into it, but I'll try to get pics. I think the motorcycle on the back helped to creat a bounce that may have contributed to the problem, the frame is straight, in fact it's reinforced more than a "normal " MH. More than likely for the bike lift, but the sub structure is attached to the frame causing a stress point.

Hi Jen, I don't know of anything in my area, it gets pretty cold and snow.

Getting ready to work on the Knight, safety first, had to source heavy jack stands, once the tires are off these might come in handy!Click image for larger version

Thinking safely, I believe I would put the jack stands on bigger blocks. Or help distribute the load with a plywood topper.

Jen,

There are CG's (campgrounds) all over the southern part of the states that are open all winter. Check out RVParky.com. Do the filters on the left side as to what you want or need and then choose an area you are interested in. It will give you choices to look at and prices.

Good luck, Lynne

Terry, have you found jack points to lift the body with? Thinking that will be the hard part of this repair? Somewher there must be some bolts that hold the body to the chassis???

Hi Lloyd, I am knee deep in how Monaco puts these things together, ........... I'm not bragging here I could/have built better. Since starting this project I've investigated how alot of mh's are actually put together, and I'm still shaking my head. But to answer your question yup actually will be easy to jack but I need to cut loose some welds, to explain it would be easier if I was talking to you, LOL

Looking forward to seeing your progress Terry. The deeper you look into Motorhomes the scarier it can be. For me the wiring just kills me. Zip tied bundled of wires everywhere. If it’s not zip tied it’s zip screwed. [emoji849]

Terry, I was afraid they welded it, need a lot more space to cut a weld then to take out a bolt, or bolts. Hopefully they are all where they can be accessed.

Have a great day!!!
