Okay guys, you can't compare 4x4ing and snow plowing!! One is fun, and I guess depending on your viewpoint you can pick! which one, LOL. When I ran the auto/motorcycle shop I never had trouble getting someone to pay for bike upgrades ect. Just depends on what someone considers fun!

Terry I'm surprised that in your neck of the woods you don't have a plowing business. You probably guessed that's what I was talking about regarding pay.
Around here several guys with rigs like yours have contracts with home owners and or stores for their parking lots. Some guys are even using quad ATVs with small blades/blowers, and garden tractors with cabs, you name it, and doing a nice little business doing sidewalks and driveways.
I've been tempted, but then I'd never get to chase 70° in the motorcoach.[emoji1]

Electra, I've done that, I almost took a job for the winter plowing snow, for a town, but the new plow truck hasn't come in yet.

And just think Terry, next year you hopefully won't need the plow truck, you will be out in the desert enjoying.

Plowed 41 driveways and 1 private road
10 of them got sand + sidewalks.

Every storm (a lot) and some storms twice.

The breakdowns were many and usually expensive . (needed to be done asap , like a day before it broke)

I got paid .

Each Round took 4-8hrs depending on storm .

For several seasons.

Wouldn't wish that on anyone , friend or foe.

Frank it'll be nice! Hopefully Eleanor can/will retire. Popeye, I should go and get pictures where I used to own a house, I lived in the middle of a state forest on a couple of acres and a house that the original owner told NY state to kiss you know what and wouldn't sell out to them, built in the 1800's no power, hand dug well outside and an outhouse. It was a couple of miles to the nearest road, I had to plow it myself. Loved that place, but lots of work to live there, was alot younger then!

Looking to see if you have enough sno* Gordon ? ?

I just count on it being there and usually am not disappointed.
Got 4 more inches last night...176 1/2

"They" are saying 45 and rain for mon+tue but back to frozen whiteness wed morning....mehhhhhh maybe so ,
maybe no.
I know a weather guy , his "forecasts" are reports of yesterday's stats.
Always 100% right !
He's very popular .....

Terry
Isolated spot in the forest,,,,,and you left ?
Instead of plowing I probably would have dropped one right across it out by the road.
(You never know when a bunch of those people in Jeeps might just drive down it !!!
Then you'd need to go out for refreshments !

With that in mind , make that tree at least 4 feet in dia.

LOL Popeye, in the winter ALL I saw was people in Jeeps! I had a Ford pickup with a 6" lift and BIG tires and a really BIG motor. Supposed to be almost 50* Monday and Tuesday with rain! So still have 28" of snow on the ground this will make a mess, lots of snow still on roofs, (not mine).

Hmm - 28" of snow and rain? Sounds like some collapsed roofs in the near future.

Gordon, yup we go thru this every year, this year we've been extremely cold 15 to 20* below normal with no warm up. So all the snow has stayed put. Should be interesting if we really get that warm, of course where we are with the elevation it may not get warm at all and we could get snow instead, time will tell!

Terry
Those folks need to sleep under the bed for the next couple nights .

You're gonna have a mini mud season if it does warm up for too long !

I'm looking forward to the warm up , no matter how brief.
