To cut the windows/doors there is an aluminum bit for a cut out tool I have, that will make a flush cut right up to the window frame, much like a bit for a router that you would use to finish a counter that you just put a piece of laminate on.

Ahhhh. I didn't even think about rigidity of the aluminum if you pre cut the window openings.

GORDAN u are so right,,,,DW is always right..lol..
we have rtain here today also,,,but we have put ahold on our builds to finish up our work shed...its been a huge job removing 40yrs of stuff out of a 40x50 work shed then cutting the rough cut oak boards then putting it back together,we also had to take the floor out so we would get the clearance we need for our projects,,,i hired a guy to help so could get it done quicker ...to be honest its been one of the toughest rebuilds i have ever done...wish i had taken before and after pics,,in the begining i would open the door shake my head and close then door...lol
but now we are putting up half walls and the DW has an idea of us moving into one our vintage campers that we are putting in there and will still have room to worrk on 2 more campers....lol..
i hope your weather changes for the best and you can get back on your project...loook forward to seeing more pix ...

bap, I know what you mean about opening the door and shaking your head. When I sold my business I had to move alot of equipment and put it in a building that was not as big as my shop I sold. So now its a challenge to use both the shop and/or the equipment. The weather is supposed to be good now for several days so I should be able to at least finish the siding.

I was going by the local Wally World and saw this, definitely vintage rig. And a view of my trailer with more siding, kinda looks like a big billboard with no windows or doors,(maybe I could get paid to advertise!)

Yes, we are, boy that looks just tooo white and plain! We have a company that we have done business with in the past that does all kinds of vinyl graphics, we used to use them for race cars that we used to build, and our trailers we used to haul them in. Not sure exactly what yet.

Travis, I looked at a bunch of factory trailers, from 18 wheelers on down, and also this one as I took it apart, this trailer was stapled and glued, and really not that many staples!! So to install this siding I used #8X1"white stainless steel screws 3" apart where the panels overlap, top to bottom. then there are 1 1/4" staples around the seams where it won't show after I put on the windows ect. also I used a construction adhesive on everything the panels will touch. NY Camper someone who's been there!! I am high up in elevation also, so fall and winter come early, 33degs this morning 66 degs now as I write this.
