Bluebirds were so well-built many folks will buy one, take it back to the factory for a total re-make to their design. They then have a like new coach on a very dependable chassis, not to mention lower taxes, license fees, etc. I once knew a couple who did that with an early 80's model.
I know where one is parked right now, behind a quick oil change business, awnings intact, paint good, don't know how long it's been there. Matter of fact, it looks like the one in the picture/video.
