Vintage Camper Rallies scheduled in TN
Was checking out the website for Misty River RV in Walland TN. Looks like they've set the dates for two Vintage Camper Rallies in 2011. Their Sping Rally is going to be from May 12-14th and their Fall Rally is set for Sept 8-10th. The webiste for the Rally announcement is Vintage Camper Rally in the Smokies - Townsend TN Campground
I don't have a Vintage Camper but I really get a kick out of looking at them. Its amazing how much things have changed over the years.

clvickers, Why don't you try and place this in our iRV2 Calendar. Look for it at the bottom of the front page. Click on the icon on left side of the window. It looks like a circle with a calendar in it.

I happened across the notice for this on the forum and I couldn't believe it. The rally is in my former backyard. Wouldn't ya know it, I'll be travelling this year and won't be able to make it. But......next year it's on my calendar!!!!

Vintage Trailer rally
Hi
I'm new to the irv2 forum but have been a Vintage RV owner for over 20 years. Is it too late to register for the Spring Rally in Tn. Can I still get the special rate. I have a 1774 28' Silver Streak and a 1985 35' Silver Streak. Most likely would bring the 1974.
Thanks
Jim

I think the 1774 Silver Streak would be amazing. I wonder what grade of aluminum they used back then? Welcome and glad to see you in the forum.

aluminum
HI
The aluminum use was .032 anodized aluminum on both my 1974 28' and my 1985 35'. Very tough and will never peel or fade. I hope we can make it.

LOL, I just noticed the "1774" would be quite unique. How about "1974"

This would only be about a 13 hour drive for me. Not sure I'm "rally ready." But if I get brave, I may try to make it! How far in advance to I have to make a final decision? It would be fun to meet some of the Vintage forum folks and I KNOW I could get advice and help on renovation ideas if I showed up with my poor little peeling white box.
