Vintage year?

What year does a RV become vintage. My RV is a 1994 Monaco Dynasty, purchased new.

20 years old, but, what ever age you decide is OK!! If you feel it is Vintage, then it is!! No set in stone age here! Rail!

Or refer to it as "Pre-Vintage" until it reaches 20... ;-)

I just got my tabs and forgot to ask if they have Collators Plates for MH's? Dang
Mine is going on 34 so that must make it a collector. In Minn its over 12 years to become a collector car I believe. I know my 64 is one. It's almost as fun to drive too.
Either way Its old and still going strong.

For motorcycles vintage = 20 years, antique = 35 years.

This is somewhat earlier than cars, as motorcycles are less likely to still be going at those ages. Seem's to me RV's are in that same catergory. They die young or are neglected before they reach age.

Not saying there are "official" stakes in the ground, but for motorcycles the above is widely accepted. The various clubs use these ages.

In New Hampshire a vehicle is considered an Antique when it is 25 years old and that includes motorcycle too. There is a definition for a classic car, but that pertains to certain makes, a brief period in time and the radiator located behind the front axle.

Here are some feature that come to mind......

Aluminum exterior (any type, not just polished)
Bonus for Orange or green shag carpet
Green, burnt yellow, or brown appliances
All in one fiber glass shower / head compartment (bonus, if green or yellow) that is about about 2 sq ft. (Only found on high end units)
Walnut vinyl covered cabinets or shellacked marine plywood, either with external hinges
No real beds, sleeping is done on drop down dinettes or benches that pull out
No AC or TV from the factory (may be have been added later, with no deduction from vintage status); bonus points for vintage 60s style portable b&w tv
Ice box only, no fridge
15 amp power hook up using a regular outside extemsion cord.
Leveling must be done with manual jacks

So my 76 has a fiberglass exterior, I pulled the Orange shag out, separate shower form factory (was 2' X 2'), Refrigerator and TV from factory and a 50 AMP hook up. I guess mine is a high end Vintage.....LOL. Old TV cabinet is gone and modern flat screens in. Manual Jacks for leveling right now. Looking to put hydraulic in soon. Rear dinette bed replaced with just a bed and a 69 dinette bed put in place of the sleeper sofa......
Vintage is what you make it.

So they do have them? Is it like a car you buy one plate and that's it, no more trips to the DVM
