WANTED: 1970-72 Chevy Grumman Motorhome

Hey forumfolk!

I'm on the hunt for a particular motorhome that I grew up with...

The motorhome story starts when my father was a kid. When he was growing up there was an old 1970 Chevy Grumman motorhome in his old neighborhood (brand new at the time) he always thought it was cool, and vowed to get one some day. Cut to the 90's, my father just happened to be in the old neighborhood one day and saw that it had been sitting in the same place for years. After asking the owner about it, he wound up buying it. My whole family came together to restore it. And it was the rv that my brother and I grew up with. I thought it was the coolest thing. Due to an unfortunate accident, we wound up selling it to my uncle who restored it from there. After his passing, my aunt was unfortunately forced to sell it. I'd love to find that particular one, but I know chances are slim. I know they didn't make many of them either. Though I'd love to find that specific one, I would be very interested in finding another one to buy or restore. I'm hoping the good people on this forum might be able to point me in the right direction!

-Mike

Indeed!
that one is one of the longer ones. I had contacted the seller. Unfortunately I think it's just a tad out of my price and distance range.

Hey Mike,

You found the right place to list this. Best of luck in finding this MH. Maybe call that guy back and let him know what you are willing to pay and ask him to call you if he decides to take what you are offering. He may if he can't sell it after it is listed a while. It is only getting older. Lynne

Hopefully he gets back to you. I see it on Craigslist for $4500....
