Wanted the 92 Crown Royale...

But ended up settling on the 1997 model instead. While no longer actually CALLED the Crown Royale, it basically still is.

I'm a little sad that I didn't get the older body which I think are just gorgeous and very unique in that I've only actually ever seen one in person and have NEVER passed one on the highway since I've been looking all these years.

We fly out Friday. I hope to have some photos to share. I'm not sure if the 1997 still qualifies as vintage since she's only just now reached her 18th birthday. I'll have to find my way back to this section of forum in 2017 I guess.

HAHAHA.

HAHAHA.

I'm new around here, but I think your coach qualifies. So long as you keep posting up about the loving care, upgrades, fixits, and trips with your "subvintage" RV...and not "How do I get warranty service for my 1997 Crown Royale type posts!

HAHAHAHA. Does anyone know if my 97 is still under warranty?!

That made me laugh out loud.

Mike it looks identical to that, just different colors. The body style I originally wanted was the older, slant windshield model.

Instead went with amenities and luxury over what I consider to be awesome looks. Got the 6 speed Allison and the big, newer 8.3 Cummins. Single piece windshield and front door entry (which I didn't really want)

I wonder why I can't attach a photo in here. I can only link. Is that normal? Photos need to be hosted somewhere first?

Go Advanced, then click the [Manage Attachments] button under Attach Files.

In the lower Additional Options green box, not the Reply to Thread box--the Add Video line won't let you upload an image.

Yes that is an 88-92 body style. This is the 93-97.

Man I really am digging the remote control spot light.....brings back memory's of late 70's/early 80's patrol cars.

I think both body styles are very nice! I too liked the older style, but would snap up the newer in a heartbeat! Castrol, make sure you check out the steering box, and if it is a Sheppard box, plan on replacing with the TRW. See the thread here on IRV2. Good luck with your new baby! Rail!

I had a friend who always ordered his Pontiac with spotlights on both sides because he could adjust his mirrors from inside. Once remote mirrors came along he never got another spotlight.
