Our first RV was a new 1977 Midas Mini and we drove it until 1985 (97,000 miles). While your Midas was has older construction, you can have a great time with it; especially if you are handy with tools and with fixing little things. Thinking back: the older design refrigerator really needed to be level to operate efficiently. The furnace tended to accumulate soot and I would disassemble it to run a hacksaw blade in the burner slots (we used ours a lot in the winter). The factory chassis on ours didn't continue to the back bumper, rather there was a frame extension welded just back of the rear leaf springs, and this broke when I towed a car trailer with tongue weight.
Have a great time with your vintage Midas Mini...
