Still packing up for our first long trip. Still trying to decide what to take and what not to take. The Boy Scout in me said be prepared for anything. SO i gather everything up and no that's too much crap to take. Going to the local campground like usual is no big deal to have a bunch of stuff but I don't want to drag it 3,000 miles.

I agree I'd like to change out all the old lights but it will take time.
Thanks for the link I'll check it out.

I love my MH! Over the last month we completely replaced all the cabinet handles and painted all the hinges, screws, and brass light fixtures. I am amazed at how great it turned out. It was a little more time consuming than I thought it would be, but the DW did all the prep and painting.

Today, I purchased two new front tires. I replaced the four back ones last year when we bought the MH. My front tires were from 2009, but I did not know how well they had been maintained and I did not want to take any chances with them. This way I know they are new and have been taken well care of. Well worth the $600.

I also just received my water filtration system. I ordered it from the RV Water Store on line. I have unpacked it and inspected it so far. I plan on installing it this weekend if I can find time between prepping for finals. I am super excited about getting it put in. It is a double filter, full house system. I will install it in the bay where my city water hook up is.

Well, both of my defrost vents/trim (cheap plastic crap) are broken and falling apart...so, I went to my buddy who runs a machine shop and am having him copy the dimension in aluminum on his CNC. They will look better, and I'll never replace them again! I removed the old particle board dinette seat bottoms (broken via knees searching for snacks), and replaced them with 1/4" maple plywood. Looks better, and I hope they will hold up better. Two new tires for the front Friday morning, with the removed ones rotated through to the tag axle. Time to pack up, and head out for vacation 2015!

Started replacing all the halogen lights with LED's. Have over 60 interior lights to do and at $5 a bulb it's going to cost some and take a while since I have to modify the fixture and glue the socket in since it's just set in place and held by the reflector which I have to remove.

Now, why would they be confiscated I asked. They never answered but did refund my money quickly. See the above for other info.

Strange I ordered in enough of these Wholesale Product Snapshot Product name is 8PCS/LOT BA15S-5050 30leds car brake light / backup, light led bulb, led panel, led light Free Shipping to do three coaches. Mine and two friends. Came right to the local post office and arrived within the promised time frame and have worked great for a couple of years now.

A friend of mine (ours) also ordered hers from the same place and she got them and she lives at the bottom end of WA. I can only apologize for recommending them if they didn't work for you.
