Flood Lights

Our coach has only a porch light outside. Our old 5th wheel had floods we could turn on, for setting up camp, eating a late dinner etc.. I wanted better lighting, of course it is very difficult, to add outside lights. The big challenge is running the wires. Till I found this.

I took our porch light apart, bought a 12v remote relay on Amazon. It is very small. I spliced into the porch light wires inside the fixture, ran the wires for my floods thru holes I drilled into the porch light fixture. Inside the fixture I connected them to the remote relay.

The lights are Kawell work lights, also on Amazon. They are floods, LED, and call for 18watts.

Now when the porch light is on, I can hit the key fob (2 key fobs came with the remote) and turn on the floods. Can turn them on and off at will with the fob.

What did I take on today? Well I removed the very bottom board that covers the bottom side of the RV. I removed the rotted lumber and carpenter ants and using the lower skin as a template I marked the 2"x9"x14' board and cut out the wheel opening and the door opening and gave it a good coat of Zinseer Kilz

That looks really good but you should now remove the horns and add a sound system that plays

I need to do the same. Tried cleaning the base plates and replacing bulbs but the contacts were all rusty. Using a dremel with small wire wheel proved destructive.
