Yes, we carefully cleaned and smoothed the old surface, and put the new backsplash material right over it. For the window and 120v outlet, we removed the trim and cover, and then reinstalled them. But for all the edges I put the material up oversized, and trimmed it to fit at the edges with an exacto (razor) knife. Not too difficult, and then I sealed all corners/edges with white silicone caulk. Thanks for asking!

I'm no fan of all that wallpaper looking material the manufacturers use in every RV I have seen other than our old Airstream many years ago. This gives me a chance to cover some of it in areas such as the galley.

Not much today at all. Made 2 retaining hooks for both small window awnings, so they don't unfurl and start flapping in the wind as I am driving down the road. Gotta get busy though, maiden multi-night voyage coming up in a couple weeks. Shakedown cruise this weekend to see if 2 new front tires were balanced properly. They used 1/2 pound of lead on one wheel to balance it, I know there wasn't that much weight on the old tires.
Also gotta test out all the water systems for the first time. It was poorly winterized when we bought it last fall, so I ran some rv antifreeze through the systems (except for water heater), now I gotta flush it all out and fill the tank and check for leaks. they have a worm gear hose clamp on one hose with good tubing clamps on all the other fittings....hope it doesn't leak on us. We will see!

Did the rear side table top in the fake marble, really looks good. Picked up a blue-ox tow bar assembly and an even-brake remote for the toad...which we don't have yet. We are looking for an old (1998 or so) Honda crv to flat tow. getting closer, we cleaned it all up on the inside for our trial cruse tomorrow...will let you know how it goes.

Been Busy!
replaced refrig vent cover & base(old one was sun & heat baked).installed 85-100 degree refrigerator fan thermostat.installed dual circulating fans on inside of refrigerator. replaced bedroom slider seals.installed new floor in toilet. resealed shower enclosure.put heat reflective film on living room slider windows.changed oil & filter. lube job. Change the electrical system from 35 amp to 50 amp. Got rid of the damn intellitec climate control system. Installed new Coleman AC thermostats. Baby powdered slider seals. Some ride to be seen, some ,well they just ride.

bedroom shades
The 3 bedroom pleated shades came in yesterday, 2 of them were correct and hung nice. The 3rd one is 1/4" too wide to fit in the window opening at the back of the motorhome. Hope they correct it asap

Final interior pictures of remodel. We took her out today on a short trip, up some steep hills and some curvy roads. The new airbags in the front worked great, much more stable and less 'bouncy'.
Got the interior all cleaned up, and put new black trim molding on the exterior where the old was shrunk up short. The trip was a success and she ran great, stopped great, and only one lamp fell over because we forgot to latch it down. Thanks for looking!

Thank you all for the very kind comments. We love how it has turned out so far.
Plan to flush and test the water systems tomorrow for leaks, and try the water heater for the first time. Fingers crossed!
