Barrett,

I used a 303 Brand Protectant Marine/Recreational that said it was for multi use. Furniture, awnings, plastics. Bought at our local RV store. It works supposedly for 3 months and has to be redone. I figure any protection from the UV rays will help.

I removed the shroud and screws. Took the screws and wire brushed them, stuck them in some Styrofoam and painted them there. I always remove screws and do them this way if I can because painting them in place causes overspray and looks unsightly.

Still have to get some Mineral Spirits to clean up around the opening for the new fan. This is part of the instructions prior to putting new Dicor down. I don't want to get the install done and have missed this step and have it not seal correctly. So, a trip to Walmart this morning to pick that up and a small wire brush (for another paint project of the rig), wax stripper, and pick up a new vacuum for the rig and back up on the roof.

Then I start painting the decals on the rig. We have 5 days of sunshine forecasted so it is a good time to get this done. Sunday is our 46th anniversary so the husband and I have other plans.

Have a great day! Lynne

New roof vents on my 77 Pace Arrow this week. Now that we're sealed up completely, we're tackling carpet replacement

New Fantastic Vent Install

Hello,

Got the Fantastic vent installed yesterday and put the new cover on it today. Love the darkened lid on this vent. We ordered it that way. Our rig is so light inside toning it down a bit works well for us.

While on the roof found the caulking around the sewer vent in need of some attention so I gave it some. Should be good for another year and then I will replace all the caulking and redo the roof.

Here are some pics of the new vent and cover on it. Lynne

We purchased the Dyson V-6 and the DW loves it. Stowed it away in the stateroom closet which is out of the way and next to the TV cabinet where I cut a hole for the power cord. Came out nice.

New gauges arrived and dash is now apart. SPEEDHUT custom built the GPS speedometer and fuel pressure gauges. Their faces match the OEM gauges perfectly.

I am showing the stock cable drive speedo in the picture for comparison to the new GPS one. And the fuel pressure gauge is the little gauge.

There is a dash instrument cover that goes over the white board.

Pretty stoked with how they came out. No more inaccurate speed reading! Yea!

Hello,

Thanks Gordon, I am a bit fussy with my caulking although I am no professional. No, that is the original roof. It is fiberglass and I will recoat it next year unless I can find someone in Yuma to do it. There is a Dicor product for it. Dicor has a product for each type of roof.

I keep the roof clean because I like it clean. Check it regularly. It is starting to show very small cracks that I do not want to leave until they start leaking so that is why it needs to be done.

The Fantastic fan is something we wanted for better air movement inside the rig when not using the A/C. Now we just need to go camping to check it out. Coming up soon.

Now I just need weather cooperation to start my painting projects. Getting it done a little at a time.

Lynne
