Washed the old girl today, what a job. While washing the top I found a roof cap missing and broken rear clearance lights.
And I thought washing my car was a chore.

Weather wasn't any better Wednesday either but we took her in any way. She did handle pretty well in the snow and ice.
Got to the shop and wasn't very welcomed by staff.
Pulled her in and the mechanic started in on me about stuff wrong with the genie. After several minutes getting madder and madder The boss came over and I told him if the guy don't want to work on her I can go somewhere else and have it fixed. There tune changed pretty quick. I was pretty Pissed off. They told me to wait in the lounge were there is coffee and donuts (Yum) so we did. We could hear them trying to start the genie because we had to remove the muffler to get the genie to slide out of the compartment. Pretty loud
After about 15 minutes the manger came in to tell us that they would have to look for parts and it won't be ready till Monday if they could find the parts. So we left. FYI its a 45 minute drive to get there.
After a couple hours we got a call from them (I was bumming) that they had found the parts and she was ready and she was running like new (I tried telling them it ran fine until it went on the blink).
We got back in the car too drive back (Still snowing).
Walked in and it was like a different shop. They told me to try and start her so I did and she fired right off. Music to my ears. The bill came too $450.00 and some change.
Parts were
capacitor
Plugs
Breaker Assy-ign
Gasket Muffler
1 muffler clamp
For a test I ran the genie all the way home and she didn't skip a beat.
Very Happy, Great shop after we saw eye too eye.
Would refer both jenny and diesel repair. So we are ready to hit the road come the end of Dec.
Happy Holidays, Gobble Gobble
Tim

I placed an order for 360 vent covers, a new Atwood 6 gal water heater and a Suburban NT-40 furnace. Good times ahead.

Why would you need 360 of them?

Unhooked the $210 starting battery that i purchased Wednesday to return for one that will start the engine. Was hoping for some hoisting help today but if not, I'll pull the 8D myself tomorrow. OUCH
