What do you folks think about this one?

I was going out to take a look at this unit later today. What do you think?

Could be a good value if that type of unit is what you are looking for. Investigate and inspect it thoroughly before you jump though. Pay particular attention to the tires and such.

Check the condition of the rest of the brake lines. If the one went from rot the rest will be soon behind, or just keep that in mind.
Looks nice, from the pictures.

Research to see what it will cost to resolve the propane and refrigerator issues. Battery replacement is normal for any vehicle. I would want to know more about the water leak.

I note mileage is not disclosed, nor the year of manufacture. Although, it sounds as if the running gear ought be to fine.

If the cost for the propane and refrigerator issues exceed $1500, I'd have to think about it or offer less.

Check the cab-over area for any signs of water leaks. Bad area for leaks and takes a lot to repair the structural damage.

Well the one above was gone before I could get to it so the search goes on. I am looking at a 1989 (the camper part is actually a 1990 but registration goes by the van part which is 1989) American by Cobra. It was built on a Ford E350 cab with only 40,500 miles. Now this one will require some work but the price is right, $1200 asking. It runs and stops but has been in the same spot for about a year. The owner lives seasonally in a campground and has purchased a new 5th wheel so they need it gone yesterday. I figure I get it for around $900 and spend around $3000 to get it into the condition I want and it will still be a good deal. I will meet with the guy on Friday and give it a good inspection. I have a mechanic friend going with me but the cosmetic inspection is up to me. Is there a good checklist out there?
