What kind of maintenance does the refrigerator need

Sometimes when removing the shore power, my refrigerator does not automatically convert to gas as it should. I have to turn off the unit then turn it back on for gas to start.
Yesterday I noticed the gas will just stop sometime during the day leaving the refrigerator no cooling.

I think it is a Nordic, does the gas lighting area need blowing out or any other maintenance I may need to do, like gas logs seem to need yearly?

If you goggle your particular model service manual (Norcold NXXX Service Manual) you can get all the instructions

OR post model here

Without model all instructions are just generic. Like this
Once year clean:
Burner slots/area
Ignitor
Flue
Flue Baffle
Main Orifice
Clean control module connections/contact surface
Vacuum outside compartment

I pretty much follow what Old Biscuit listed above and all of my refrigerators work great, even the 2 in the 1979 units and they are all original.

Update, I did blow out the refrigerator and the water heater area. Lots of rust came out of the water heater. Not much from the refrigerator.
New batteries seems to fix the problem with the refrigerator not switching from ac to gas.

Interior: Same as an old time residential.. Defrost, Wash with a Baking soda solution and dry. No differnt than an old time Fridigidaire.

Exterior: Inspect burner flu for bird/insect nexts, Clean Clean and adjust burner as per the very fine owner's manual.. Lost the manual

Try downloading it from the manufacturer (google make, model, manual wher emake and model are the make and model of your unit.

No joy there.. The RV Book or the RV Owner's handbook has a generic procedure.

If dometic the manual shows how to clean burner and that should be done.

Ours quit working while out a couple years ago on a 23 year old unit.

Read the troubleshooting and thought it was stupid that burner could be dirty but okay.

Pulled it apart and what looked like glass granules came out when we took it apart.

Cleaned it up and it worked great after that.

I am not clear, are you saying your front panel is not showing the shift over to gas or are you saying your have delayed ignition. That determines whether it is a control issue or a component downstream from the board.

When you turn it off and back on you are essentially doing the same thing you do when you cold boot your computer.
