What RV was that?

Yesterday was watching the old movie with Bill Murray called "stripes".
It's one of my favorites. For those that have seen the movie, you recall the RV that was used in the film and referred to as an Urban Assault Vehicle. The thought came to me I've never actually seen one of those rigs on the road.
So my question is, was that something just built up for the film or is it an actual RV? If it's the real deal, assuming its vintage or classic, what is / was it?
Its really a cool looking rig.

GMCs only came in 23 and 26 foot. Just short of 13,000 were built between 1973 and 1978. The 23s were only about 10% of the build.
I would really suggest you start at GMCers.org.

They have been in more than a few movies.
