Where is the class B section?

Hello all I am thinking about building a class B RV and I was looking for that section here on IRV2 did I miss it some where or is this the general area for things like that? well if it is I am looking for do's and don'ts for building one plus the pluses and minus for owning one also because of local county laws it can't look like an RV or a Commercial vehicle I have to go stealthy on this not only with building it but also when it is in the drive sitting there.

Well, to be honest there is no formal class B forum. One would still have the same systems as other classes, just in a smaller package. You have your chore cut out for yourself. How are you going to cool the coach? The air conditioner will not be easy to hide from the outside view of the coach. You might want to give us some of your ideas as to what you would like to do with the unit and the amenities you want. What year, make and model of van are you going to use?

Well to be honest I am not sure what I am looking to put in it yet I know it has to have a bed, some place to eat at on rainy days, fridge, microwave, heat and air but other then that I am not sure yet and as for they make model and year I haven't made up that one either it will probably be the one that catches my eye when I get the money saved up for one. right now I am trying to gather some good info and go from there not only that I am trying to find a conversion van with the high roof so I don't have to pay to have put on. I am disabled and have a limited income so I know this is going to take a while to get done but in the short run it will be cheaper to build it piece by piece and I know that in the long run it might cost me more to do it this way instead of buying a good used class B but I am hoping that it will be better looking both inside and out then a regular class B also I have to be able to tow after it is built a 6000 lb trailer (my brothers camper) and before you say why don't I just store it where my brothers trailer is his is in a storage yard and I am trying to keep my monthly cost down. I used to pay $60 a month for my PUP to be stored at the cheapest and closest storage lot I don't know if that is high or not as a normal but to me that was at least 1 to 1 1/2 nights that I couldn't go camping that month.

doughboy welcome to irv2.
The VINTAGE FORUM just below may have someone that could help with your Van conversion. Alot of pictures of TT and Class C conversions that could apply to your Van conversion but in a smaller scale.
Also found this link to Volkswagon low profile campers that may meet your needs.
Will move this post to Vintage forum place your posts there.
