One of the most frustrating thing about having an old RV is trying to figure out what everything is. The owner(s) of the one I have seem to have saved every piece of paper connected with mine, yet everything is so vague on the manufacturer's side that I have to guess about things.

I have three wastewater tanks; one black, two gray. Yet there are four blade valves installed. 3" for the black tank, two 1-1/2" for the the two gray tanks and another 1-1/2" valve on the backside of the main drain pipe (opposite end that everything empties out from. There is nothing connected to it, nor is there anything that seems like it should or even could connect to it. Is it original and why is it there?

On the driver's side, near the fuel door is another door. Open it and there is a 3" white pipe inside with bits of stuff around the inside. I finally crawled underneath to find out what it connects to and it's just a two foot piece of pipe. There is nothing connected on the inside and again, nothing that should or even could connect to it. Why? Original?

I realize that manufacturers make different variations, but would it really have been that hard to supply a drawing with labels for what they installed on it?

The extra were likely installed by somebody at some point .
That little door is a place to store sewer hose

I would guess that the 2' pipe is a storage space for your slinky hose.

Bottom picture is possibly storage for your dump hose

The hose is stored in the rear bumper, so this wouldn't be needed. Also it's only a couple of feet, way too short to store a suitable length of hose.

Maybe it's like the towel rack on the back of the bathroom door that's too narrow to hold a towel or the magazine rack at floor level: stuff nobody thought through before they added it?

I just looked again and there is a block installed inside so that it won't hold anything longer than 12", so a piece of 3" pipe or hose 12" long is the most that would fit.

If the pipe is 2 feet long, but there is a block 12" into the pipe, maybe the outer 12" was for sewer hose, and the part behind the block was where the previous owner kept his stash!

It was the 80's ... which might explain all these odd things that I keep finding.
