Williams Control (exhaust brake) replacement

Hi, does anyone have experience with the Williams Control exhaust brake on the earlier country coaches. I am considering switching to a different brake but not sure which one to choose. Also, a year or so ago my mechanic got my brake working by adding a throttle position switch, but what ever he did made my cruise control stop working. Any suggestions on what could have caused this?

Brake works fine now... The only problem with the brake was the bracket that connected the brake to the pipe was loose, so all the exhaust pressure was escaping. Not sure why my mechanic missed this but turned out it was an easy fix once I crawled under the coach.
