Windshield visors/front curtains

In our 1985 Winnebago Chieftan, the visors no longer move. I suspect a little penetrating oil will help. However, they are a good 5" from the top of the windshield and that's where the sun comes in. Also, the front curtains have been replaced with something that sticks together & makes it real difficult to get them unstuck & pulled around. I looked up front curtains & they were hideously expensive, plus I'm not sure they'd fit our rig. Any ideas for making driving in the sun easier?

How about having the top of the windshield tinted?, I retired from driving school buses and they had a drop down tinted sunviser, independent from the regular viser. Maybe find one from a school bus parts supplier.

Ours has tinting at the top, factory and then the visor folds down to cover the rest of windshield. I would think that using a oil, won't that stain the visor? I wish someone made visors like on a 18 wheeler.
I washed my curtains when I first got her and they came out of the washer in threads.
I found new ones @CW for around $100.00 bucks, they pull close like in the S&B and then have Velcro to keep them closed when shut.

It is tinted at the top but the sun blazes right through that. DH drives with a hat on & that helps some. Looking for new front covers though. I'm wondering about blinds. We need something that works.
