Wireless Brake Controller

Hello I have a 83 24ft nomad camper and we love it. I have a wireless brake controller I cannot seem to get it to pair with my truck which 2012 Nissan frontier. The truck pulls the camper with out any problems including braking I just want to get them to work for dot standards. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you Tom
