Clarence Lacy

Clarence Albert Lacy
May 9, 1939 – October 5, 2014
Clarence was born in Port Arthur, Texas to Walter and Irene Lacy and two brothers, Curtis and A.W. Lacy who all preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Hardin High School and University of Texas Alumnus. He was an engineer at Schlumberger for more than 20 years in addition to being a private business owner and successful entrepreneur.
Clarence and his wife, Mary, joined the Texas Boomers in December of 2011 and attended a number of functions with this group. They also were members of several national RV’ing organizations and attended those functions as well.
Clarence and Mary went on an extended 45 day journey which included attending the 2014 IRV2 National Rally in Myrtle Beach. They left that rally and headed to the FMCA 6 State Rally held in early October in Shreveport, Louisiana.
It was upon leaving this rally that Clarence succumbed to natural causes just as they were leaving the fairgrounds to head home.
Services were held on October 9, 2014 at Knesek Funeral Home in Bellville, Texas officiated by Pastor John Chivvas.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife, Mary, and sons Dean, Todd and Phillip. Daughter Keisha French and stepson, Brandt Dillon. Grandchildren Zack, Asa and Lisa Lacy, Ian French, Tyler and Christopher Lewis and Miranda and Maren Dillion.
He is also survived by brother Don Lacy and sisters, Glory Lewis and Christine Smith as well as a host of nephews and nieces.
“For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, that is eternal in the heavens.

So very sorry to hear this sad news. I know they had a good time at the Six-State FMCA Rally. I'm glad Mary has those memories and the memories of their RV travels. Prayers for Mary and their family.
