I am so sorry to hear about your dad.I lost my only sister APR 24,2012 and July of 2009 she was given 30 to 45 days to live so she lasted almost 3 yrs longer than all the Drs. said she would. It is hard to give love ones up but,you have to know they are not suffering anymore.Good luck and please give your family my condolences.

I'm so sorry to hear about Richard,we first met him at the National rally in Nashville,Tn.,we attended several rallies, got to know him and Syliva and thought a lot of both of them. We have lost some good ones this year:Richard,Alvin (aka Sportsman) and my husband Tom,I'm sure there was rejoicing in heaven when they all met up. Thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. We know they are better off but its so hard for us left behind.

Michelle, Kaileigh, Chase & I all are deeply saddened by the loss of such a great human being. Richard you always brought joy, laughter and positive energy to every situation and an invaluable mentor and friend to me as iRV2 developed and grew. Your remarkable wisdom continues to influence my life today and I will forever be grateful. Godspeed buddy!

Sylvia and family, our prayers and blessings are with you.

My condolences to your family.

As many have already noted, iRV2 would not be what it is today without Richard. His contributions will be missed but not forgotten by those who have had the pleasure of knowing him personally or only thru his posts.

Very sad news!

I was thinking about Richard a few days ago and was wondering how he was doing.

I first meet Richard "Hitchhiker" at the iRV2 2009 Fall Rally at Mount Airy, NC. He was very socialable and eagerly shared his vast RV knowledge. He also was an excellent iRV2 moderator.

3 iRV2 members that attended that rally are no longer with us, Richard Hale, Joe Shaffer and Tom Neal. May they all rest in peace.

This news was extremely hard to accept today. Richard was there for all of us whenever we needed him. He would even help you in 100+ degree heat to get your airconditioner working. And he would do it in his blue jeans!!!
We will really miss you, Richard.

Lots of love from Mike and Debbie.

He surely will be missed....Having never to have meet him...I felt like I knew him. I think a lot of fellow IRV2 members would say the same thing. I have read 100's of his posts over the years.....Why does cancer take all the "good ones" ???

I just wanted to take a minute and thank all of you for your heart felt messages. I have read each and every one of these to my Mom and family. It is truly warming to our souls to know how loved Dad was and how big of an impact he has had.

Thank you!

As I mentioned on the iRV2 FaceBook page, Richard was one of the first to welcome MsCarol and me to the group when we came on board way back when. Just a good guy who would help you solve any problem. We rallied at Hunting Island one year in the fall and Richard (along with several of us) brought enough wood that he kept the fire going the entire time we were there. All you had to do was mention a get-together and he was ready to go.
We lost three good and sterling members this last year - Richard, Tom Neal and Alvin Weiberg. I believe we are all better from having them in our lives, even for the short time they were here. Bless you all.
