I am taken by surprise and saddened to hear of Jim's passing. Although I never met Jim personally, his kindness and giving nature showed through as he patiently helped me with tuning information both by email and by phone, until we got my 85 Chieftain from 4.8 mpg to 7.3 while towing. God speed Jim, I hope you will save me a spot in that RV park in the sky!

My sincere condolences to Jim's family. My understanding is that he was an extremely friendly and helpful individual so he will be missed greatly by us and his family and friends. RIP Jim.

Mr. Elliott had passed away almost a year before I joined IRV2, but I continue to be blown away by the knowledge he possessed at tuning these old dinosaurs. I wish I could have known him. I so respect that kind of knowledge.

I got to know him a couple of years ago. I talked to him on a few occasions. When we talked it was like old home week. The last time I talked to him, he gave me the news about his cancer. In talking he said to me he wasn't ready to go because he had to many projects he wanted to try and do. He had an energy I wish I had.
