Captain Bud posted in the North East Section on 08/07/08 the sad news:

I received a call tonite from June McDonald that "Macadoo" aka Big Mac has passed away. Mac had made many of our rallies and was a gentle giant of a man. He will surely be missed.. A memorial service is planned for September. If anyone has further questions please feel free to call or PM me.....Bud

Mike and Mo and Gil and I were just talking about them this weekend, and wondering how they were doing. We were saying it had been awhile since we heard from them. How very sad. The worlds loss, and Heaven's gain.
June, if you read this at some point, know that he will be very missed.

June, You and Mac were both blessed to have known each other and to be able to spend your lives together. Mac was a true gentleman and he will be missed by everyone that knew him. Take comfort in knowing you will see him again. Tom & Carol

Dear June,

As the others have said we are sorry for your loss! I know we did not get to spend a whole lot of time together, but even though it was not a lot of time. It was always quality time well spent!! I will always remember him singing along with George Jones down in TN! We hope you will continue to join in on our rallies if you so chose! If we can be of any help just let us know! You are in our thoughts and prayers!!

So sorry to hear about the loss. I just hope all of the ones that go before me have things lined out in Heaven and we get a good site with full hook up.

June, Nancy and I are saddened by Mac's passing. Capt Bud was right he was a giant with a giant's heart. He will be saddly missed by all NorEasters. Even though we did not see you often, your names were always brought up at the rally's because you were missed. We always enjoyed you both. May the lord help you through these troubled times.
