So sorry to hear of this heartbreaking loss.

I hope you made the decision to travel - roaming the larger world, meeting others, and observing the beautiful landscapes may be a salve for your soul.

Thank you. I did travel for 7 weeks in the fall although part of it was visiting family so I was not alone for much of the trip. I have a 10 week trip planned for late winter /early spring which will give me a truer reading on how I will adapt to solo travel. So far I plan to continue traveling to fulfill our dreams.

Excellent! I know it has to be difficult.

After my brother died, I carried forward some of his dreams. It helped.

Hugs and Love

I feel your loss Randy. On 12/16/17 I lost my love, Roy, unexpectedly to CHF. We had been full timing and traveling the roads for almost 33 years. Unlike you, I never learned to drive the coach and in all honesty, I知 not sure I even want to solo. For me traveling is only enjoyment if I have someone to share the adventures with. God Bless You for venturing out solo. For me, I値l probably sell. After all these years, it値l be a hard decision. Best wishes and prayers.

Sassy,

I知 very sorry for your loss. I know how difficult it is to lose your soulmate. The sadness and loneliness are immense. In your case it sounds like it was more sudden and in my case there was 9 months of dealing with the impend loss.

While your decision about soloing may not change, if you can afford to hang onto your coach for a while before making the final decision. Another option would be to downsize to something more manageable.

I知 on a 10 week trip now and traveling solo is no where near the same as when I had Sharon. Especially in the evening I miss sitting around the campfire sharing the days experiences and planning tomorrows. I still enjoy the experience of seeing new places and learning about new locations. I have to settle by sharing via photos to family and friends via FB and my blog. While traveling solo is not as fulfilling, stay home doing nothing is worse! So if you decide to give up RVing, you will need to find some other passions and hobbies to help distract you from your loss and grief.

Best wishes to you!

I am sorry for your loss Randy, I feel that I have to say, be careful about making decisions. At this time you may be vulnerable to making hasty ones. Sincere condolences to you my friend.
