Hey all. We have our eye on a 42' coach but I've heard that motorhomes over 40' in length are not legal in Canada. If so, how do all the entertainers and Champ Car drivers do it with their 45' Prevost and Newells when they go through Canada? Is this info bogus or just a rumor? If not, are there ways around it with special permits, etc?

We're planning some trips to the Canadian Rockies in the near future and also a trip to Alaska through Canada and don't want to wind up with a coach that they won't let over the border. But we really like that 42' Allegro Bus.

So, any good info from the experts out there?

Not a problem with size as a visitor to Canada, it is only a problem if you want to register it in Canada. We had a 45' Newell from CA next to us here in BC last week.
