Morning Reg: If I'm not mistaken Skip298 from the Bruce Penninsula, heads to Yuma Arizona each year. Not sure what park he stays in though. He hasn't been in for a while so I can only assume he's still there. Your Link certainly indicates a nice park, with good rates........Brad

Thanks Brad. Will watch & see if anyone else responds. Yeh, looks like a nice park. I am going to stay near a reasonably priced Golf course because I am going to Golf more even if I have to go in dept. (Ha ha)
Will likely try & reserve a space later this summer.

We stayed there for the first 2 weeks of January 06, nice, quiet and liked it. We plan on going back for a longer stay.

One thing though is sites may require 40 feet of sewer hose depending on your rig configuration. Longest hose I have ever needed anywhere.

Hi Artic Owl

We were in Yuma this past winter and had reservations at Cocopha. When we got there they put us in a site that was in the direct path of errant golf drives off one of the tees. All of the sites in that area had big screens that you had to rent that were used to protect the RV. It seemed like these screens would not be enough protection so we asked for a change. They couldn't accomodate us so we chose to cancll and move on.

This is actually a very nice park with a decent golf course but looked kind of dangerous to me. Also it is a long way from shopping and downtown through a lot of poor back roads.

Most of the better RV sites are on the ast side of town on the I8 north and south service roads.

Cheers and good luck

Richard

Arctic Owl:
We have snowbirded in Yuma 2 winters now and love it, going back for a 3rd.

I can't provide much help to you about the Cocopah park but will comment on some of the other parks that are situated right next to the I-8 business route in Yuma.

Be careful of the parks that have their address right on the Business route I-8 as they are undergoing a building boom in Yuma that encompasses a lot of former orange grove land along that stretch, behind a number of those parks, that has been sold to developers to build tract housing and boy does that area see blowing dust while this building (next coupla years at least)is going on.

We stay in a park that is bordered on 3 sides by orange groves and so far the dust problems associated with desert areas hasn't been a major problem for us in this park; Del Pueblo Tennis and RV Resort www.delpueblorv.com on avenue 3 East. The rates are over $400.00 per month with electric being extra at .18c per Kh.

Hey All: I,ve been e-mailing C/G's in Florida today, looking for a spot to park for the winter. Now never being away for months at a time....I'm wondering what would be a good monthly rate. I realize many factors come onto play, such as area, amenities, etc.
One Park in Panama City Beach is 595.00/Mth + hydro. St Augustine 500.00/Mth +hydro...are these kinda in the right ball park?

If you want cheaper pricing, you might check out South Georgia or LA (Lower Alabama). There are spots that are only a short distance from the Gulf Coast yet are quite a bit cheaper because they are in a different state. Do a little searching online with a map handy. Many campgrounds are not listed in campground directories yet are listed in the "yellow pages".

Hey brad, if you want to get down into Florida where it's warm, try Little Charlie Creek RV Park at Wauchula ph 863-773-0088. They don't have a pool but everything else is there and they have a great bunch of seasonal folks there for the winter. Rate was less than $400.00 plus hydro per month this year.
