BC Meet Up and Rally 2014
Hey to all my BC neighbors! Before any major planning goes into this would there be anyone interested in doing a rally? There is so many nice people on here and is love to meet as many people as possible I've seen these done by people on the south side of the border why not do one on the North side to ( inviting all of our great American neighbors of course ) let me know I wouldn't mind doing the leg work at all

I was thinking second weekend in June at the coquihalla campground in Hope BC it's a nice site with lots of natural setting campsites

DW reminded me we have a rally planed in AR in April then the National IRV2 in Sept. in SC. Hopefully can head north in 2015!

Only a ferry ride away for us, even have a free stay at the Bridal Falls RV campground courtesy of the dealer when we bought our Disco! It is supposed to be a first rate rv park

15 amp power....hmm and not many of them. I'm for a get together but you will lose the sun sooner nestled in the mountains. Maybe a different place. There is also a Life on Wheels type course in Kelowna sometime in June.

Sounds like a plan. We have made it to two meets south of the border.......both great times. Will watch for future posts, as we are now on our way to the Baja for the winter.

I didn't realize that coquihalla is only 15 amp as I very rarely do anything but dry camp if there are any other suggested campgrounds that would be great

There's some homework that has to be done to find a good rv park somewhere on the lower mainland or slightly inland of any size?

This was tried last year and fell flat. Hopefully that will not be the case this time.
Possible questions,
- North or South of the border? Either works for me
- Preferable time frame? Abbotsford Airshow/NW Washington fair mid August??
- Boondocking? fine, I will be using my generator. What about others?
- Facilities, pool?? Preferable if small people come along.
- Duration of G2G.
- # of people and Rigs and # of pads available.
- Possible events or group things to do??

This will do for a start as I sit in Ft Victoria RV park while the rest of the country (mine), returns to the Ice Age.

Remember to turn left at Dawson Creek. Are you going up through Edmonton or via the Dease Lake Highway?
