the oldBird here,

I'm just starting my RVing adventure, and when I mean starting, I mean starting!

I haven't even sold the house yet

My plan is to RV in Canada only, AND, for all four seasons! Betcha I'll be in Southern BC for the winters

I've got lots of selling, planning and compromises to make ... so ALL the advice that I can get will be VERY much appreciated!

Over and Out

the oldBird

Lots of work ahead, I can see that, but within a year you could roll to the LOWER MAINLAND. We lived and worked in Edmonton und moved to BC about 10 years ago. We're not Fulltimers. After DW retired from flying we sold the old House and bought into a Gated Community. So - we just stick around the Lower Mainland in Winter, or play snowbird.
Where are you at Home? I see, you hang around my place.... lets go for coffee

I would take a look at one of the Gulf Islands for a possible location for overwintering in a RV

We spent last winter in Osoyoos! Was quite pleasant. There's lots to do and lots of very nice people. We stayed at N"K MIP RV Park. Clubhouse, pool ( with hot tub), and exercise room. There's not a lot of sun, but temp. stay very reasonable. We're booked in for this coming winter already. If you're down that way stop in and say Hi!

Posted this under the 'Fulltiming' thread but thought I'd throw it out here as well.....

Anybody spend longer than 6 months in the States ? What are the 'rules' ? And how strict are they ??
