We could start one but we live a long long way from one another. We love our Cardinal and have used it alot (every weekend) since we got it in mid July!

Well since we have this thread started, I have a question. Since we bought our unit used we didn't have any manuals. We got the dealer to get the manuals for us but we don't have a general manual that goes with the Cardinal. We have all the appliance manuals but we don't have one, for example, to tell you how to manually move the slides. Did either of you get such a manual when you got your rigs? The specific question is why are there two switches for the artic pack?

Club is really growing.
I had same problem with manuals, and I bought new. Had to do research. The owners manual I did finally get is very poor. I think I should write 1 up and sell it back to ForestRiver.

2 arctic switches - 1 for fresh water tank, 1 for the waste water holding tanks. Just in case, tanks volumes are 52 gallons fresh water, 40, 40, 40 for the waste water holding tanks.

Thanks Chet, that would be great! I don't think this manual problem is unique to Forest River. You would think they would publish better manuals so you know what you are doing!
Also thanks for your reply to camping in cold weather. Did you mean only the slide windows are double paned? We are going to give some cold weather camping a try at the beginning of November. Going to Meredith Woods, a year round campground in Meredith, NH. We will see how she holds up. We still love the Cardinal. We have spent about 20 nights in it since we got it mid-July

All my windows are doublepaned and tinted.
Except the Emergency window in the super slide and the window in th bedroom slide. The bedroom slide is no big deal because we have it covered to keep light out. So that is insulated well. The one in the super slide is usually closed with the shade down. You can sure tell the ones that are insulated on a cool morning! Very cool area to sit next to and have coffee.

Are all of you going to the National Rally in Nashville? We should get sites next to one another and we could have Cardinal Row!

I am afraid we are too far away for the rally in 2003. Maybe in 2 years.
