No, Heck Brad this is Dec 1, not Dec. 17.

Dec. 17 the pups and I go get the tree. Hopefully it goes up that day and gets watered.

Two more gifts to get.

I'll bet I'll be the last one to take the tree down. Old Christmas gets celebrated in our corner of the pond/neck of the woods......

Barrie.. Yup! Looks like we're gonna get a few laughs between now and Jan....Cobourg harbour and beech has gotta be one of the nicest on Lake Ontario

Now the question to get things going here.

Has all the Politically Correct "stuff" affected your feelings of the Christmas Season??

Hmmm, Christmas. Is one ever really ready for Christmas. The best thing so far is that my wife declined to go in and help out in a local retail store during Christmas. That could be the best gift of all. (Hug, hug and warm fuzzies here.) I'm mid-way through varnishing our tradition snowshoes as grandson has expressed an interest in snowshoeing when the snow comes and stays. As for the political correctness business, it does get me upset but so far I've been crossing out "holiday" and writing in "Christmas" with a degree of cheerfulness, knowing full well that there's no legislation that prevents me from doing so. Power to the people!

Politically correct, nah, don't pay attention.

Christmas is what you make it.

I loved it when I read that our Governor General said that it *is* a Christmas tree and not a holiday tree as one of her staffers had told the press. I hope the staffer got a good talking-to.

Saw on TV yesterday, a southern US town.. in Texas..I think??? has banned the colours.. green and red at this time of year, because the are deemed to be Christmas colours. Seems to be ... EXTREME. Any one else here this?
