Not only can you not stay overnight at the wal-mart in Cornerbrook, NL, you cannot even park to go shopping. Sign is quite clear, NO RV or Truck Parking. You can stay at the info center which is very close. Handy to know when all the parks are still closed.
Been here 2 full days and seen 10 moose so far and made short work of 3 lobsters which at selling for $4.99lb.

The ferry from North Sydney to Port aux Basques cost $464.00 for a return ticket which included 2 passengers. This was for the 11:30am sailing. Someone told me the night sailing was cheaper.

We also went on the ferry from St. Barbe to Blanc Sablon, which is the ferry over to Labrador and it was $52.25 each way for the 1.5 hour trip. Unfortunately weather was not so good, so we only stayed two nights in Labrador. The RV park was not quite open, so he let me stay there for free and also gave me a 15amp outlet to keep batteries charged instead of running the genny.

Weather over past 3+ weeks has been not too bad. Moose count is now up to 144 including the 49 we have seen today. Have lost count of the Icebergs we have seen, but we do have a few good pieces in our freezer to take back to Ontario. Apparently they crackle when put into a good Canadian Whiskey and ginger ale cocktail.
We leave this great place on Monday and will post a some details of the trip to this web site shortly after this.
One thing is very evident and that is we will be coming back for another visit one summer. It will be the #1 item on our bucket list.
Bushman, if you would like some of this great lobster, I have one here waiting for you, but you have to come and get it....LOL
Can't decide what to have for dinner tonight, lobster or fresh, not frozen, snow crab.
