If you look at the bottom of the brakes there is an adjustment star. These are not self adusting. You have to run it out till they lock up and then back it off a little till they don't drag. Hope that helps.

Thanks for responding. I have tried that already and it does not help,so I am thinking magnets.

Thanks for the info. I will be checking my brakes and bearings soon myself. Didn't know about the brake adjusters.

Duncan, I buy ALL my parts from;
Cerka Industries Inc.
8125 Esquesing Line
Milon ON
www.cerka.ca 905-876-1212
They are a Dexter dealer & have the parts, the right price, & great service.
Try them. I think you will like them.

You may do better trying a place like Miska Trailer sales as they often offer the entire kit of Drum, backer plate, shoes, bearings, seals, magnets and all other stuff for around $69-$79 per wheel.
I also replaced my axles under a previous trailer with 2 of heavier rating from Princess Auto.

Sometimes Princess Auto puts the kits on sale for about $60 but not consistently...worth a look though if there is one nearby.
