Digby Nova Scotia campgrounds

Hello all, looking for advice on campgrounds in Digby NS. When I do a search I find that there are 4 listed. They are;

Jaggar's Point
Digby Campground and Fun Park
Ridge Valley
Fundy Spray Camp Ground

I have looked up all of these. Jaggars seams like a nice park, but a bit dated. Not much for kids to do. Ridge Valley looks new, and looks to have better amenities for kids to do something, Fundy Spray Park has no website, and not showing any kind of park on the satellite photos. Digby Camp and Fun park has no website and satellite photos shows no pool.

So my question to all, has anyone been to any of these? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

We are traveling with 4 kids ages 9-15. We do not plan on being only at the campground. Plan of seeing the attractions in the area during the day. Just need to have pool and possibly something for the kids to do at night while supper is cooking.

Also please let us know if it is more a retirement park, as my kids are load and disruptive to people with a low tolerance of noise.

Camping Nova Scotia list all campgrounds. You sound like your very active kids would like the Jellystone CG, but it is not near Digby. Whale Cove CG sounds promising, says kid friendly.

Actually we booked yesterday with the Digby campground and fun park. It is not on the water, but it appears to be a newer park with a large pool. But there seams to be some draw backs as well. No a lot of trees, and out in the open.

Our thinking was we have ac so heat is not an issue, as it usually is running to help mask the noise generated by 4 kids not getting along. Also we do not plan on staying in the part all day, only at night when we get back from exploring. And exploring we mean, 2 days at beach, on walking down town, and a day visiting the near by Fort Anne, Fort Royal, and Annapolis area.

Great thing is all Canada parks are free this year. It will definitely save some green in the wallet.

We drove from Digby down the Digby arm. We crossed on a cable ferry to the island. We went to balancing rock as well when we were there. The tides change every six hours. When we drove down the arm, the boats in the bay were sitting high at the dock and some were anchored out in the bay. When we drove back past, approx. six hours later, all the boats were sitting in the mud and the bay was completely empty other than a small river at the dock. The tides in the area are amazing, you will marvel at them. We found Digby to have excellent seafood as well.

We stay there, but no pool... as of last year. We'll be there in a few weeks again. Their food truck has all the local seafood. The restaurant on Brier Island serves the biggest hamburgers in the history of food.

Currently at ridge view campground and have to say this is another hidden gem of a campground. Big and spacious lots, lots of clearance driving they the campground, 30 and 50 amp service, plenty of pull thru and back in sites. This is a good place for DP. Pool is newer and big. It's a long weekend and a few spots left.

The camp staff are great and owner walks u to your site on check in. They have scheduled games for kids on weekends.

Would recommend to others.

Thanks..we are always looking for places that can handle larger rigs. If you have time, duck into Bear Cove. Great restaurant there..
