The fellow next to me here in Kenora ON is from PEI and has driven his 40 foot DP and jeep toad around the Cabot Trail twice he enjoys it so much. I suppose some people are just nervous types and fear a bit of up and down and twisting around. For me the Duffy Lake road is fun so I expect I shall enjoy the Cabot Trail myself soon.
I never let fear and common sense hold me back.

We did the Cabot Trail & PEI, and a lot more in our 25' Winnebago View, June/July 2015. Our little coach drove like a sports car,We had the best of times. We saw lots of Motorhomes along the way, most bigger than ours.

I would not hesitate to do it in your 38. Keep your fuel filled-long way between stations-particularly diesel.

Have fun- be sure to stay at Lunenburg Municipal Campground at the top of the town. And, we took (motorhome too-8+ hours)the ferry from yarmouth to Portland- great cruise, good food, saw whales.

The dreaded Cabot Trail

For the wimp drivers out there, this is a spectacular drive, I love it. There were no hair raising white knuckle spots to be found, I've driven tough roads and this is just fun, highly recommended.

The road ahead

👍
I'm with you all the way. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Our original plan was to be there to see the fall colours but didn't want to chance an early snow storm on the way home to the west coast this late in the season.
Hope you got to try some scallops and lobsters while you are there. The best there is.
Have a safe trip.

Our coach goes on a ship out of Halifax in about 3 weeks and goes to Liverpool where we shall continue the tour in Ireland for the winter and probably buy a house there for a home base and then tour the continent including Russia.
